CILT International is the global body for transport and logistics professionals, connecting members across more than 30 countries. Despite having a vast international membership and a wealth of collective expertise, the organisation had no centralised publication to bring that community together – no platform for sharing thought leadership, spotlighting global trends, or giving members a unified voice across territories.
CILT International approached Stark to change that. The brief was ambitious: conceive, build, and launch a brand new digital magazine from the ground up, in time for a January 2025 debut.
The approach
We took on full creative and editorial ownership of the project – developing the magazine's name, brand identity, visual design, and editorial voice from scratch. The result was The World in Motion, a twice-yearly digital publication covering the issues that matter most to transport and logistics professionals worldwide, from supply chain disruption and sustainability to technology adoption and professional development.
We built the entire production infrastructure – establishing an editorial calendar, contributor network, production workflow, and digital hosting platform – and have delivered every issue since launch, managing the end-to-end process each time.
Each edition draws on contributors from across CILT International's global membership, ensuring the magazine reflects the diversity and depth of the organisation's worldwide community.
The results
Since its launch in January 2025, The World in Motion has established itself as a valued platform for CILT International's global membership. Two editions have been published to date, both covering the defining topics in global transport and logistics, and the magazine has been well received across the organisation's international network.
As a first-of-its-kind publication for CILT International, it represents a significant step forward in how the organisation communicates with and connects its global membership — and a foundation for what is set to become a cornerstone of its communications programme.
